Why Choose SmartWave?

1. Flotation

SmartWave only work with LMPDE. LMPDE is a smart material which is lighter than water, giving you positive buoyancy. At a density of .938g/cm3 it is extremely buoyant even when submerged.

2. Zero Corrosion – Zero Maintenance

LMPDE is unaffected by oxygen, salt and water.

3. Safety & Stability

The unique hull design, reverse chins & flotation stability of SmartWave boats promote lift when accelerating onto the plane and allow for tight cornering at high speed. This also contributes to the boat’s stability at rest.

4. Aggressive Liquids? No Harm Done

LMPDE is barely affected by harsh chemicals or fuels.

5. High Impact Resistance

LMPDE is more effective against bumping into harsh surfaces than RIB tubes as its viscous and flexible properties prevent crack deformation. LMPDE is both tough and flexible.

6. UV Resistancy

Excellent UV resistancy with UV15 compound colourant.

7. Soft Riding

Not only is LMPDE strong and robust, it also provides flexibility for soft and quiet hull riding. The dual skin hull, along with closed-cell polyurethane foam that also provides level flotation absorbs engine and sea noise, allowing you to quietly approach a favourite fishing spot.

8. Easy to Repair

LMPDE rarely gets damaged, but if it does then any local plastic production company can do it for you.

9. Low Carbon Footprint

The carbon footprint of LMPDE is 5 times lower than aluminium. It is also 5x stronger than fibreglass, meaning the durability it provides will lead to ongoing years of low maintenance.

10. Durability: 100% Recyclable

Unlike most other boating materials, LMPDE can be 100% re-melted and recycled in a new PE blend.
